Covington High School first fielded a soccer team in 1984. It was led by
Coach John Nelson. In subsequent seasons the team has been coached by Jack Loup,
Darryl Graham, and Jimmy Inman - the current head coach. Assistant coaches have
included Dexter Scherer, Jay Naquin, Scott Dupree, Frank Judice, Pat Wells, and
Jimmy Holden. JV head coaches have been Jimmy Inman, Scott Dupree, and Jimmy
Holden. Freshman coaches have included Dexter Scherer, Scott Dupree and Jimmy
Holden.
The following Coaches have been recognized through these awards:
I. All - Metro Coach of the year(Times Picayune) - Jimmy Inman
II. NEWS -BANNER coach of the year(all sports) - Jimmy Inman
III. District coach of the year - Darryl Graham and Jimmy Inman(twice)
