Jesuit, coached by Gary Ortner and led by Gatorade player of the year PJ Kee, finished a perfect season with a 31-0-0 record,
as well as being ranked 3rd nationally. Jesuit was only the fourth team in LA to have an undefeated season, and the first
since Slidell in 1989 to have a flawless record. Jesuit also only trailed once during the entire season (to Central
Lafourche in the Regional Playoffs). It was also Jesuit's sixth Finals appearance in the past seven years, winning its
second title.
Acadiana made its third Finals appearance in a row, but for the first time, lost. Hahnville appeared in its first and
only Semifinal. C.E. Byrd made it to its second Semifinal.
